Grapeseed oil is extracted from the seeds of the fruit of the grapevines (Vitis vinifera
), which is produced in Peru in the departments of Ica, Tacana, Moquegua, and Arequipa. In ancient Egypt, grapeseed oil was considered an excellent product for its therapeutic benefits that only the upper classes had access to. Grapeseed oil is rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and vitamins, which protect the skin from free radicals, thus preventing aging and skin deterioration. Its daily use helps to have brighter and younger skin and hair. Grapeseed oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds, providing a pale yellow vegetable oil.
